Q. What does it cost to place my ad?
A. All basic ads with photos are FREE. If you choose to select any extra visibility options to make your ad stand out from the others, a small fee applies. All fees are outlined in detail below and also when you place your ad.

  • Premium Placement — $2 Your ad serves above standard placements.
  • Bold Title — $1 Make your listing stand out over standard placements!
  • Red Title — $1 Highlight your listing with red text.

Q. How soon will my listing appear after submitting it?
A. New and modified listings are posted to the site immediately after you are finished posting. A confirmation email will be sent that allows you to edit, remove or renew your ad.

Q. What do I do if there is an error or typo in my listing?
A. When you complete your ad, a confirmation email will be sent. From this email click on the link, make any corrections, and click "Save Changes".

Q. Can I change my photo after submitting an ad?
A. Yes. When you complete your ad, a confirmation email will be sent. From this email click on the link, upload a new image and click "Save Changes".

Q. I uploaded a photo and an error message said that my file was too large to upload. How can I make it smaller?
A. Your photo file must be under 300k in size to upload. If you’d like to resize it and don’t have your own photo software, click here to resize your photo online.

Q. Does the service check for typos and spelling errors?
A. No. We suggest you use Word to write your description and then copy and paste it into the description field.

Q. What are the listing periods available?
A. All ads run until they sell. You may delete or renew your listing at any time. When you complete your ad, a confirmation email will be sent. From this email click on the link and then choose "Remove This Ad" or "Renew This Ad".

Q. How do I remove my listing?
A. You may manually remove the listing at any time. When you complete your ad, a confirmation email will be sent. From this email click on the link and then choose "Remove This Ad".

Q. Which credit cards do you accept?
A. We accept Visa, Master Card, and American Express.

Q. What is your refund policy?
A. All sales are final and no refunds are given. In the instance of a material error caused by our service you will be given a credit toward a future listing advertisement.

Q. The item I listed sold prior to the end of my listing period; may I get a pro-rated refund?
A. All sales are final. No refunds are given.

Q. The map location of my listing is slightly different than the actual location; what can I do?
A. Placing your listing location on the map is called geocoding, which is the process of converting a street address to longitude and latitude coordinates. This process may cause a map location to be placed in a slightly different spot than the actual location.

Q. The map location of my listing is vastly different from the actual location; what can I do?
A. This is typically caused by a spelling error in the address or city name or an incorrect ZIP Code. Another culprit may be incorrect identification of Rd, St, Ave, Place, etc. Double check to make sure the street address is correct using the edit listing option.

Q. Does Buy or Sell guarantee transactions or certify the sellers?
A. No. Buy or Sell is not involved in any transaction. Buy or Sell does not handle any payments on items. There is no "buyer protection" or "seller certification".
